Because we do not have a permanent building of our own, Machar is able to lower its overhead costs by using rented space. We have our Jewish Cultural School, Adult Education program, and Community Sunday activities at our new location in the Kensington area of Montgomery Country. Our High Holiday services are at Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Rockville, and our Hanukkah and Coffeehouse gatherings at the Silver Spring Civic Building. When health and safety practices allow, many community groups meet in the homes of members, who also host Shabbat and Havdalah gatherings.
