A beautiful summer walk led by Machar member.
Join members of Machar, Beth Chai and Kehila Chadasha
This easy, family‑friendly hike is about 1.5 miles round‑trip on a flat gravel trail, offering stunning views of the Potomac River and both overlooks of the Falls. It’s suitable for all ages, including school‑aged children.
After the walk, we’ll enjoy an informal bring‑your‑own picnic lunch. There are restrooms and some picnic tables available, though not guaranteed — feel free to bring a blanket just in case.
Meeting Point: Great Falls Tavern Visitor Center (Maryland side) Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park (Please note: this is not the Virginia entrance.)
Park Entry: Free with a National Parks Pass • Otherwise, $20 per vehicle
