Throughout history, Jews have developed a tradition of cultivating resilience out of necessity. Today’s Jewish parents face less easily understood dangers than pogroms, making it hard to know how best to raise resilient children who have positive Jewish identities in the mid 2020s. In this talk, Dr. Rebecca Resnik combines neuropsychological approaches to understanding anxiety with practical wisdom rooted in Jewish traditions to offer parents a hopeful message about raising emotionally resilient children.
Dr. Rebecca Resnik specializes in neuropsychological testing at her private group practice, Rebecca Resnik and Associates, with offices in North Bethesda. Dr. Resnik trained in pediatric neuropsychology at Mt Washington Pediatric Hospital. She served as President of the Maryland Psychological Association and as a Board Member for 11 years. She is a former member of Beth Chai.
